About Nuit Blanche

nuitblanche

MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE is one of the largest winter festivals in the world, an annual celebration drawing 900,000 fans to experience the joy of Montréal wintertime through a unique program combining performing arts, gastronomy, free outdoor family activities, and a full night of exquisitely original discoveries!

Every year, the festival closes by kicking off “Nuit Blanche”.  The Nuit blanche à Montréal held this year on March 1, 2014, invited locals and tourists to enjoy over 200 activities.

Art Souterrain is another component of this winter festival, which seeks to showcase international contemporary art institutions, artists, and the architectural and cultural heritage of downtown Montreal’s underground city. It also aims to make art accessible to the masses.

Natasha and Jennifer mapped out an evening of non-stop Nuit Blanche fun and are now sharing it in this interactive website. From riding the Ice Slide, to checking out performances and installations – click the different stops on the map to discover all the action.
